Tillers of land and soil and seed
to bloom sustenance;
keepers of earthly creatures,
shepherding all,
minding our duty to family,
governing the us in humanity,
given authority to manage
the gifts, the provisions
bestowed by a holy God,
not to hold selfishly while
saturated in complacency,
not to hoard in fear
or indifference while ignorant
of need, but to give, to share,
to lend out our hands,
our homes, our hearts
as God’s stewards,
and He alone,
our Lord.
