“Music is the divine way to tell
beautiful, poetic things
to the heart.” – Pablo Casals.
I plug my ears with cello song,
breathe in deeply and slowly release
air, stress, and all that is negative;
the bow takes me to mountains,
then through a green glade,
and I finally find myself barefoot
in sand near an indigo ocean —
a tempest far, far away is no
threat, but the crash and fall
a reminder of His magnificence;
the sea can go no further
than His commands, my flesh
is clay, and my spirit surrenders
to an eternal dance, moved by
the sweetest cello notes
in heaven’s symphony.

Wow, everyone! I just discovered this amazing writer/photographer I know you will love if you are following me because she and I are truly kindred spirits. My soul simply wants to linger in the lovely land of her sweet words reflecting on nature and the Creator. She only has a few followers, so we simply need to change that, as it is a shame to not have her gifts enrich more lives daily.
I recently merged multiple current and past WP blogs of my own into my main one, now the only one. Yesterday, I made the decision to leave Twitter and close one of my two IG accounts. I rarely use FB, just to keep in touch with extended family and childhood friends. I wanted to focus more on WordPress, where all of my true connections seem to stem from. I’ve been creating so much that it’s been hard to keep up with my reading and connecting with others on their blogs/sites. This morning, I enjoyed some spiritual reflection with Dave Peever’s “A Little Wisdom–Humility” (thank you to the WP friend who recommended him) and among other lovely treasures, dove deeper into C.L. Fisher’s site, which I am reblogging here. I had been following her but had not noticed her until now.
So far (day one), my decision to try to make social media more meaningful to me has paid off! I do truly enjoy keeping my circle small and authentic. I do truly enjoy others’ shared talents filling my heart and lighting brighter my soul. I did run across some glooooooomy posts, too. I’ve had my share of darkness, but I am truly an advocate of hope and light, though, no matter what. There is always goodness to be found if we simply choose to focus our lenses on it. That is not to deny the bad and ugly but to counter it. I believe love will always be the answer.
Please do enjoy this sweet soul’s incredible offerings…
Fill your day with more positives than negatives, readers. It’s a choice. It’s a lifestyle. It is not easy, but it is possible and worth it.
❤ Laura
