A friend sent me these photos
of an elegant bloom hanging
in air, a little speck of bedecked
petals hovering above the blossoming
garden like a hummingbird
seeking her fair portion of pollen.
There is such rare beauty
we walk past, over, through
each day, but we too often
fail to pause and take a few
precious and unburdened
moments to be still in some
portion of this good garden
God has made for us, to sit
in the peacefulness of nature,
enjoying His beautiful
and restorative ways.

“Listen to my story” the elegant bloom fearfully whispers as the wind sways it around
Through the shades of my colors, the words are uttered
Through the movement of the long thin stem, a beauty is held fast
One has to linger, one has to remain faithful
For the story I live in ponders from a heart longing to rest in His grace”

Yes, exactly and beautifully said — “…longing to rest in His grace;” even as we “fearfully whisper,” we holdfast.
