Then Christ will make His home in your hearts as you trust in Him. Your roots will grow down into God’s love and keep you strong. And may you have the power to understand, as all God’s people should, how wide, how long, how high, and how deep His love is. — Ephesians 3:17-18, NLT
The stories we tell,
snippets of life that trace
the outline of our character,
the whys and hows,
whens and wheres
of our movements
on this earth,
and the most important
becomes the question
of whom —
whom do we meet,
whom do we trust,
whom do we love,
whom do we seek,
whom do we serve,
and whom do we become
on this journey
to be more
than a selfish,
lonely soul,
on its selfish,
lonely way —
it is our transformation
into the humility
of what it means
to be part of creation,
treasured and loved
by the One who
began everything.
