Wishes

“But dandelions were what she chiefly saw….their everydayness; for in that …she saw a picture of herself, and it was comforting to find that what was common could also be a flower.”  ― Gwendolyn Brooks

I can scatter a world,

send matter into

the atmosphere

to land and start

new spheres, growing

globes for some other

soul who will gather

them again, and so

it has been and so it

will be, we scatter joy

in wishes on dandelion

seeds.
