A Glorious Splendor

The little bee

and delicate butterfly

entice me to wait

and listen,

attend the earth

for a moment,

release my breath,

disconnect,

reset my focus,

remember my Creator,

settle to a stillness —

we are so much more

than the busyness

that moves us,

the daily rhythms

of work and home —

we are spirits

who need time

to witness “the glorious

splendor of Your

majesty” so that

we may “meditate

on your wonderful works.”
