Morning Blessing

I will wake the dawn with my song.—Psalm 108:2

It is simple, really,

just part of my everyday,

most times before I speak,

but after I kiss my husband,

I amble my way to the kitchen,

begin to brew my first cup,

and I am overwhelmed

with the blessing of just

waking up.
