What Wonders

How is it 

this long,

wasp-like

but wingless

creature becomes

a little, unassuming

ladybug? Smaller,

she is but 

a dainty remnant,

an emergence

of a speckled &

friendly dot

from this 

some-what

scary looking,

long-legged

infant we might

swat….

We know so little

of the natural world,

most of us,

at least, 

inside walls,

heads down,

eyes scanning

a tiny rectangular

window to a cyber

world, detached 

from the amazing

life outside

in the green.
