Nesting

Our little nooks,

the comfy spaces

in our homes

or little arbors

in tiny gardens,

the places

we feel safe,

nestled in,

protected —

when the world 

seems filled 

with reckless abandon,

when you feel hope

fading, find

a pleasant recess

that reminds 

you of good things,

seek a perch

or a cozy nest,

tuck in your feathers,

and allow your weary soul a rest.
