One step and then the next,
under the solemn gray-scape
of moon haze or the yellow rays
of a cheery sun, among verdant
canopies, along whispering rivers,
and always through the deepest
interior of my own heart, seeking,
ever seeking, a knowable truth…
I want to know You more,
so much more, my God,
and so I am on pilgrimage,
one step and then the next.
