Equinox

The first day of autumn will tumble in;  leaves will crumble into a mosaic rug, the soil will gentle back to humus,  the birds will nestle in their twigs, pulling down-feathers over heads, and I will sit in at my favorite window  sipping tea, waiting for the glass to fog. —C.L.
