Surrender

Humble yourselves in the sight of the Lord, and He will lift you up. — James 4:10

What gentle love 

does our God pour 

down upon us? 

What kind expression 

does His Spirit bestow?  

What strong protection 

does our Father set 

in hedges all around us?  

It is the perfect charity 

of grace, endless, 

changeless; surrender 

our only recompense,

each letting go our gain.
