Some souls

fall into our lives

like a gentle sun,

a warming balm,

generous hearts

that always attend…

They provide 

a glass of water,

bake a favorite treat, 

give up their seat;

they listen, 

read body language,

pay attention—

a rare gift,

an unassuming

kindness—

humble, beautiful…

We all know souls like this;

let us all be souls like this.
