Starburst

I’d like to fly into a sunset, take on the colors of those fiery rays just as they break and settle on a far horizon, a starburst like winged flames of a hummingbird, reflecting the heat with every quickened beat of my tiny feathers, moving too fast to ever burn. —C.L.
