Stardust

He made all the stars—the Bear and Orion, the Pleiades and the constellations of the southern sky. — Job 9:9, NLT

I wonder if stardust

has ever settled on my cheeks

on one of those clear cold nights

when I step out and turn my face

up; there is no warmth in the moon,

but the gentleness of its lesser-light

is no less inviting than the sun,

and so I open my eyes wide, stand

under that beautiful sight, and imagine

what heaven must be like.
